At NAB Show 2026, Insta360 officially previewed its highly anticipated new camera lineup, led by the Insta360 Luna Pro Camera, marking a bold step into the compact gimbal camera market.

The Luna Pro was showcased alongside the Luna Ultra, drawing strong attention from content creators and industry professionals as Insta360 positions itself as a direct competitor to DJI’s popular Osmo Pocket series.

🚀 A New Direction for Insta360

The Insta360 Luna Pro Camera represents a major shift for Insta360, moving beyond its well-known 360° and action cameras into premium handheld creator tools.

Co-engineered with Leica, the Luna series focuses on delivering cinematic image quality in a compact form factor, aimed at vloggers, filmmakers, and live content creators.

🔍 Key Features (Preview Highlights)

  • 1-inch Sensor — Improved low-light performance and dynamic range
  • Bright f/1.8 Aperture — Better depth and clarity in various lighting conditions
  • 10-bit Color Support — More natural color transitions and grading flexibility
  • Variable Focal Length — Greater creative control for framing shots
  • Compact Gimbal Design — Built for stabilization and portability

These features position the Luna Pro as a high-end alternative to traditional pocket cameras, combining portability with professional-grade imaging.

🎬 Built to Compete

During NAB Show 2026, Insta360 made it clear that the Luna Pro is designed to compete directly with devices like the DJI Osmo Pocket series, offering enhanced imaging capabilities and potentially more flexible shooting options.

Unlike the dual-lens Luna Ultra, the Luna Pro features a single-lens design, making it a more streamlined option for everyday creators while still maintaining high-end performance.

📅 Availability & Outlook

While full specifications, pricing, and release dates have yet to be officially confirmed, the Luna Pro is expected to launch later in 2026, following its NAB preview.

With this release, Insta360 is clearly expanding its ecosystem, aiming to redefine what a compact creator camera can deliver.
